Costs of brand drugs are out of control !

Health Alert - June 9, 2007

1. Do you have diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and/or renal or cancer anemia?

2. Are you taking any of the following drugs? Novolin, Lantus, Enbrel, Aranesp, Avonex, Rebif, Betaseron, Procrit, or Epogen

If you can answer yes to these two questions, call 1-877-431-7083 !

According to federal law, after a set number of years, patents on brand-named drugs are supposed to run out so that generic drugs can be made. Drugs companies are trying to change these rules.

  1. Background
  2. List of additional drugs and diseases
  3. Organizations supportive of these brand-named drugs becoming generics

We need people who are using these drugs to step forward. AARP, one of the lead organizations in this effort, wants to talk with you. Call 1-877-431-7083 and we will put you in touch with AARP. Savings of between $40 and $70 billion are possible if the patents on the brand-name drugs listed would run out according to current patents so that generic drugs can be maded.
